Rhonda is a book artist interested in book structures and historical techniques. She does custom bookbinding, book repair, artists books, and paper marbling. She has made prop books for television, contributed to a number of publications, and has been interviewed for Bookbinding Now. One of her books is now part of a permanent collection of artist books at University of GA-Cortona Library, Italy and an example of her work is in 500 Handmade Books 2. One of her marbled papers was recently selected as a finalist in the Nonesuch Art On Paper Awards competition and two of her artists books will be included in the 2016 International Art of the Book Show at Rochester Public Library, NY.
While completing her Masters of Library Studies, she took bookbinding courses at the Dawson Printshop at Dalhousie University and has continued to take many other courses over the past fifteen years. Rhonda lives in Halifax, Canada where she is owner and operator of MyHandboundBooks, a bookbinding studio.
