About
Let's bring the artwork outside!
In this one day workshop we will make one of a kind prints called monotypes, inspired by nature
Using my portable retrofitted washer press we will make prints using plant material such as
leaves, grass, weeds or found material.
We will use water based inks and learn about blending colors and apply on plexi-glass for
our printmaking creations.
The final print is always an unexpected surprise.
This workshop is open to all ages and skill sets.
A collaborative printmaking making process is encouraged by working in a multi-generational environment.
Instructor Bio:
Tammy Wofsey is a printmaker and book artist.
She established PlotzingPress, a publishing and printmaking shop in Bronx, New York. My art work begins with a love for paper and the printmaking process. The type and etching presses I use are an intrinsic partner for all my creations.
